Reading Efficiency Scoring™
Your Efficiency Scoring reflects more than speed. It combines reading pace, comprehension, balance, consistency, stamina and completion behavior into one benchmark.
Reading Efficiency Score Guide
The score is a composite benchmark. It reflects how well reading speed, comprehension, consistency, stamina, completion behavior and reliability work together.
| Score Range | Tier | What It Suggests |
|---|---|---|
| 93–100 | Elite Efficiency | Exceptional balance between pace, understanding and reliability. This profile may be ready for denser material and higher-volume reading demands. |
| 83–92 | High Performance | Strong reading efficiency with dependable speed and comprehension. The next goal is maintaining quality as reading complexity increases. |
| 70–82 | Developing Strength | A solid and usable efficiency foundation. Additional valid rounds can help strengthen balance, consistency and confidence in the trend. |
| 55–69 | Emerging Efficiency | Some developing strengths are present, but speed, comprehension and reliability are not yet consistently aligned. |
| 40–54 | Early Development | The participant is still building the foundation for efficient reading. Guided practice should focus on pacing control, main idea capture and completion confidence. |
| 0–39 | Starting Point | An initial baseline has been established, but more clean rounds or foundational support may be needed before drawing strong conclusions. |
A higher reading speed does not automatically create a higher Efficiency Score. The score improves when speed increases while comprehension, completion behavior and reliability remain strong.
Shows how efficiently you move through timed reading material while keeping the score from becoming a simple speed race.
Shows how well you captured the passage’s main idea, key details and workplace meaning after reading.
Highlights whether your speed and understanding are supporting each other instead of pulling in opposite directions.
Reflects whether your performance looks steady across active rounds rather than relying on a single strong attempt.
Reflects your ability to stay focused through the reading window and follow through during the quiz stage.
Recognizes complete, usable assessment behavior so results are based on finished rounds rather than abandoned attempts.
Protects the score by looking for patterns such as impossible speed, extremely fast quiz behavior, or incomplete reading engagement.
Helps interpret results in light of the reading source and assessment conditions without exposing the proprietary formula.
Some quality-control checks run in the background to protect score reliability. Custom text, upload, and URL rounds may still support WPM activity even when they are not included in official Efficiency Score averages.
